The hiking trip to Gunung Angsi was somehow challenging. Although it was my third time climbing the hill, I still found it as amusing. Kenape?? Well the tracks are now different, in the sense that it was raining the night before. Just imagine the track condition, slippery, muddy smelly, u name it..
We started off climbing from the path near the roadside. If you are familiar with the road, it is actually situated along the infamous Bkt Putus area. It is the exact road that I frequented to home every 2 weeks or another. The winding road will always be full of traffic during weekends. So yeah that was our starting point.

After 2hours walk in the jungle we made a quick pit stop to gather up the group again. Mind you climbing the place really challenge your stamina if you did not keep fit. To those who wonder, I am proud to stay I was doing well. No panting, pengsan incident occurred. The gym helps a lot you know! Thank goodness
After approximately half an hour later, we reached the peak. It was heavenly feeling to see the surrounding mountain top. I could even see my housing area from there. My house is just 15mins drive away from Bkt Putus ok. Up there, there were a few more groups from some college and PLKN were already there resting. It r reminds me a lot of the memoirs back when I was still in UTP. With super great friends, any expedition will be more fun together. Sampai bleh la tercrush kat sorang member just because mase expedition tuh die yg paling comel di antara sume org yg comot2 tu kan.. Nadya ko toksah nak kasi ketawa keji ok!

We had our quick bite for lunch, snapped a few photos before starting our climb down. The path down was different, gauge our physical and mental. You see the way up was not so hard actually. We did not have to use any ropes, sliding wutsoever to the peak.
But here, we were forced to use ropes to go down, as there were few areas showing land slides, and the merekah² due to the rain. One of the colleague was afraid of heights, just imagine how she felt looking at the place. The condition forced her to overcome the fright. Thank goodness nothing happen to her, but we all saw the tears she held once she stepped down. It was the determination people.. and of course, mane ade jln lain dahhh nak tanak kena gak la kan? huhu

We crossed upon a few small rivers too.. The icy cold water was refreshing. Bermain2 air sejuk setelah berpeluh sakan mmg sronot! But we did not stay long as the were signs of dark clouds approaching. It was going to rain, so we hurried our way out. Along the way, the group were split into few smaller groups, plainly because ade yang dah super penat.. so they walk at their own pace, slowly. And thus 4 of our colleagues lost their way, siap ade search n rescue tuhhh.. huhu. I was among the 8th person to reach the final point, and together we waited for the rest to arrive. Dismayed to see the last person had arrived without the other 4, the organizer started to panic. It was already raining that time, and I became a bit selfish too. Can’t hardly wait to go back. Hungry and exhausted, but well, I still waited for them.
Once received the phone call telling that they were found, I straight away went to the car and drive home. Penat sgt ok! It was already 5.15pm and I had not had a proper food since morning, you could easily heard the lion inside my tummy growled angrily.
But it was a relieve to know that they were found safe and sound. Once reached home, I showered and thought of having something to eat. But my eyes were not following my head. They straight away went to shutdown mode, instead of stand by. My sport shoes were filthy, I mean so damn filthy that I could not imagine how to clean it up from the mud and god knows what stinking stuff stuck between the sole. Huhu but was so sedey to throw it away.. I still keep in though, inside a plastic bag.. waiting for it to rot, so dat I could toss it away without having the guilty feeling.
Next climb will be this coming weekend, to G. Datuk. Still within N9, ohh so nice! But this time around it will be a night climb. I will be using the new hiking shoe eheh.
Wish me luck ya!
